Take your driving to the next level on a fully prepared ice track on a frozen lake in Sweden.
This is not a passenger experience or a short session — it’s full-day, hands-on driving, focused on real car control, confidence, and progression in a truly unique environment.
Set in the stunning Sälen region of Sweden, this is as much an experience as it is a driving course.
This experience is designed as a minimum 2-day course.

To keep things simple:
Dates shown on the calendar represent Day 1.
Your second day will automatically follow.
Example: Book Tuesday 9th February → your course runs Tuesday 9th + Wednesday 10th February
Exception:
Wednesday 17th February → second day will be Friday 19th February
Each day is designed for 3 participants sharing 2 cars - usually an MX-5 and Z4. This provides excellent seat time, coaching, and progression.
£1190 per person, per day. Total (2 days): £2380 per person.
To secure your place:
Deposit: £714 per person (paid at booking). Remaining balance: £1666 per person. Balance is invoiced separately, and due by 1st September 2026. Paid via bank transfer.
Extras (cars, spectators, etc.) are added to your final balance.
Included: Full-day ice driving instruction, use of vehicles on the lake, lunch on driving days.

Insurance Waiver - An insurance waiver may be purchased additionally, paid directly to the vehicle provider covering you for the full duration of your course (approx. £250 per person). Is required if you add additional vehicle hire onto your event days.
These non-included items allow you to tailor the trip to suit your own preferences and budget.
Additional vehicles can be arranged to increase driving time, accommodate larger groups and enhance the overall experience.

Non-driving guests are welcome.
They get full access to see the driving on the lake from a safe location, viewing area and shelter with lunch included.
Spectator fee: £50 per person per day.
Many guests turn this into a weeks winter experience.

Skiing & snowboarding, snowmobiling, husky sledding, Spa & wellness treatments, restaurants, bars & cafés and Northern Lights viewing (conditions permitting).

“Company” refers to AW Driver Training Ltd.
“Course” refers to any driving training, event, or experience provided by the Company.
“Participant” refers to the individual attending the Course.
“Booking” refers to any confirmed reservation made via the website or directly with the Company.
2.1 A Booking is confirmed once payment (full or deposit where applicable) is received and a confirmation email is issued.
2.2 By placing a Booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2.3 These Terms apply to all Bookings regardless of the Participant’s country of residence.
3.1 UK Courses require full payment at booking.
3.2 Sweden Courses require a deposit with the balance payable by the specified date.
3.3 All prices are in GBP.
Changes allowed with more than 12 weeks (84 days) notice
Within 12 weeks: non-refundable
Bookings within 12 weeks are final

Refunds (if agreed) may have processing fees deducted
No-shows = no refund
Late arrivals may lose driving time
We may cancel due to weather, illness, or operational reasons.
We will:
Offer alternative dates, or
Provide a refund
We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs.
Goodwill gestures are discretionary.
We are not liable for events beyond our control.
Ice conditions cannot be guaranteed. Decisions are made as late as reasonably possible to allow for changing conditions, while balancing the need to minimise unnecessary travel.
Alternative arrangements may be offered.
Refunds are not guaranteed if costs are already incurred.
Unsafe behaviour or failure to follow instruction = removal without refund
No participation under alcohol or drugs
Participation is at your own risk.
We are not liable for indirect losses (travel, accommodation, etc.).
Nothing excludes liability for negligence causing injury.
Photos/video may be used for marketing.
You may opt out in advance.

You will be:
Driving on a 9km frozen lake circuit as one of 3 drivers per day sharing 2 cars as standard. Coaching will be provided throughout the day by Andrew in car and via radio communication.
The day is structured to build skills progressively, including:
Understeer & oversteer control, braking and grip management, steering precision and balance and flowing driving on open ice.
Lunch is included for each driver each day.
DIRECTIONS
BY AIR The three most convenient airports for reaching the lake are:
Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) – closest • Only 18–25 minutes from Högis and the main Sälen resort area • Limited winter schedule (generally Friday–Sunday) • Ideal if flight timings align with your arrival
Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL) • Approximately 2.5–3.5 hours’ drive depending on route and weather • Easy, well-maintained winter roads • Hire cars come equipped with winter tyres as standard • The most popular choice for weekday travellers and the best balance of availability + convenience
Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) • Approximately 5 hours’ drive • A good option if flight prices are favourable or you prefer Stockholm routes
Overall, Oslo (OSL) provides the best combination of regular flights, car-hire options and ease of winter driving.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Särna (approx. 25 minutes) • Leave Särna heading north on Route 70 toward Idre • After approximately 10 km, turn right toward Lövnäs • Follow this forest road for around 10–12 minutes • Near Lövnäs, look for event signage directing you to the lake access track • The access road leads directly onto Södra Lötsjön, where our team will meet you
From Idre (approx. 40 minutes) • Head south on Route 70 toward Särna • After approximately 25 km, turn left toward Lövnäs • Continue for 10–12 minutes along the forest road • As you approach Lövnäs, follow the event signage to the lake access track • Drive carefully down the access track and onto the frozen lake.
